1982 ~ 2011
Our beloved sweetheart, mother, daughter, aunt and friend returned to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father and family on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Mya was welcomed into this life December 21, 1982 to Mark Morgan and Carmen Cooley-Preece. She was married to the love of her life Patrick Robin Harris on September 15, 2011. She was the proud mother of Jackson, Austin, Makenna and Donavin who were also the loves of her life.
Mya was a devoted mother, cherishing each moment she shared with her children. She loved being their mom and watching them grow, learn and discover the world around them. She was an exceptionally talented cake designer. She delighted many family members and friends with cakes that were too realistic to be eaten.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick, her four children, brothers, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21st, at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 26th Ward, 3495 West 4850 South. A viewing to be held on Thursday, October 20th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) and the day of the service at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Mya, we miss your smile, laugh and sense of humor. The world was a brighter place with you in it. You will never be forgotten. Stay with us, never leave us, stay by our side and watch over us. We love and miss you, forever in our hearts and souls, till we meet again.
